Water

Liquid, solid, gas. Different shapes of the same, precious molecule.

An entire floor is devoted to the blue gold. Visit lasts 90 minutes during which visitor will get to know historical aspects linked to water supply and exploited labor force. We will examine anti-waste and anti-pollution practices, we will analyse water biological component with an excursus on integrated water supply.

DRINKING TAP WATER

A blue planet, that’s our earth. Our world is mainly made by water. Without this little molecule, consisting of three atoms, life wouldn’t exist. However just 3% of water global amount is freshwater, 68% of this in the form of ice. How can we manage this resource efficiently? Let’s discover together water cycle, how water reaches our houses, schools, hospitals and which procedures assure water quality and correct supply.

acqua-il-teatro-dellacqua

WATER THEATRE

Let’s discover together the molecule which covers more than 70% of our planet. From its natural cycle, passing through our houses, let’s have a look to its chemical and physical properties: capillarity, thermal capacity, solubility. Without neglecting minimal surfaces, changes in status and water rockets!

HISTORY OF A WONDERFUL MOLECULE

Water is synonymous of life. But what’s its history? From outer spaces to ocean’s depths, let’s have a look to this precious molecule, from its atoms, discovering it in the most unthinkable places, our lungs, a strawberry, our houses’ water taps. Let’s dive into it!

MICROWORLDS OF WONDERS

Discovering our world and its little inhabitants is now possible thanks to the help of technological devices which encourage comprehension and stimulate curiosity.

VIRTUAL WATER: IT EXHISTS BUT WE CAN’T SEE IT!

What’s the amount of water in a pair of jeans or in a kilo of chocolate? Let’s discover the water footprint of things surrounding us.

According to UN, between 2025 and 2030 water shortage will reach one third of the earth’s inhabitants. Going deep into it write now, may avoid staying dry later!

LE MILLE BOLLE (AND NOT JUST THAT!)

How are soap bubbles created? A drop of water stimulates our imagination. Learn how to modulate your blow, observe water transformation and discover all the secrets of water.

ON THE RIVER SIDE

Who the river belongs to? How is it? How can we understand it?

Assuming the role of the citizen scientist we’ll build up a weather balloon to look down on Parco Dora’s river, discovering that is possible to talk about the river without getting wet!

PLAYDECIDE! WATER WARS

Water is a precious thing, but it’s not equally distributed on our planet. Water waste, climate changes and pollution put water future at risk . Let’s discuss together water consumption.

ONE, TWO, THREE… BUBBLE!

Giant circles, lights and many shapes, these are just some of the tools we will use to have fun with bubbles and even help the little ones discover the science that hides inside a soap bubble. The ingredients to start this journey? Water, soap and lots of imagination. Are you ready to go?
