“Trattamento Rifiuti Metropolitani” is a company in charge of Turin Metropolitan Area’s waste-to-energy plant planning, implementation and management.
TRM is participated by Iren Ambiente S.p.A. – 100% controlled by IREN S.p.A. (80%) and by a group of Municipalities and other Consortiums (20%), among them the City of Turin (18%).
The waste-to-energy plant is finalised to non recyclable waste disposal, valorising their energetic content by producing electricity and heat. According to European guidelines, it represents the final piece of the integrated waste management system of Turin Metropolitan Area.
